Director of Research

The Director of Research is responsible for the executive-level academic leadership and strategic management of the operations of the Institute, and for maintaining its scientific integrity. The primary responsibility of the role, under the direction of the Board and the support of the administrative staff, is the growth and development of child health research within the facility and its impact locally, nationally, and internationally.

In addition, the Director will play a major role in the promotion of child health research through fundraising campaigns. The Director will also be required to seek an academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health (and other related departments), University of Manitoba, and to develop relationships within the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s Child Health Program and the Health Sciences Centre. The Director may also choose to develop a clinical practice in his/her specialty.
